For some reason, many people have the idea that doing sales is a very tactical, hard, boring, serious, “business-oriented” kind of job. A job where you just have to crunch the numbers, make calls, work through the process and try to make quota each quarter. But the reality of it is sales within a business is much more a “creative” art form than most people give it credit for. If you want to advance as a business executive or sales leader, your primary goal should be to get creative and get a grasp on “outside the box” thinking.
To better explain what I mean let me give you the definition of creativity. Creativity is the art of using one’s imagination, while not being afraid to fail and create something bizarre and unexpected. And by knowing the rules of this game so well, you'll know exactly how you can make the most impact.
If you ignite the audience’s mind, the message you’re trying to bring across with your campaigns and commercials will linger in their minds long after viewing set campaigns and commercials. And they will talk about it. And it will help with brand recall, word of mouth and will influence a purchase decision.
But don’t take it from us! Liliana Hardeveld, Marketing & Sales Manager at Curaçao Pharmacal Company B.V. talks about enjoying the creative campaigns specifically made to meet their company needs that they received while working with Shanny Sommer Branding:
"We love working with Shanny Sommer Branding because they come up with creative campaigns and are able to identify our needs and strategize with us. My daily tasks are very demanding and we manage a lot of brands, and so it is a relief having this support. We're able to fully rely on Shanny's team to take care of our brands.
This is a trait that we really appreciate, in addition to their professional communication standards."
One of the biggest challenges for companies is coming up with a captivating reason for why people should do business with you instead of a competitor. Don’t be afraid to find memorable ways of making an impression and sticking in the minds of your customers. A sales person's job doesn’t have to be dull and boring -- be bold, colorful and creative!
